Samurai who had lost their masters - were called Ronin in ancient Japan. In the movie they are former secret agents, who now hire themselves out as mercenaries in southern France and try to get an ominous suite case. The result is perhaps the most exciting and most hair-raising chase scenes ever filmed - S8 especially with German cars like a BMW M5, a Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9 and an Audi. Overall, 80 cars were smashed up during the shooting. Robert de Niro and Jean Reno as disillusioned ex-agents make the linear movie experience complete.
