The Italian Job

Anyone who knows a bit about cars and prestigious movies will have heard of The Italian Job. The cool film has gained a huge fan base and contemporary sequels of the picture, released in cinemas in 1969, have since been created starring big names like Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron. The lead role is taken on by veteran actor Michael Caine. His character calls a team of his friends together to steal gold bars from the Italin city of Torino with assistance from a trio of Mini Coopers, a bus and two Jaguars. Many car chases follow through the city streets, highways, rooftops, rivers and sewers. The team are successful in robbing the authorities of their gold but their bus driver loses control and their vehicle is left wobbling over the edge of a cliff - the film ends as the men try to get out without loosing the booty.
