Gone in 60 seconds (1974)

A pimped Mustang, police in hunting fever and lots of body damage: When cult director HB Halicki produced "Gone in 60 Seconds" nearly 100 cars were scrapped filing  the chaotic chase scenes. 1998 a polished remake with Nicholas Cage at the wheel followed, but the core of the plot is almost identical. A band of car thieves must steal 50 luxury vehicles and sports cars in one night. The last one is "Eleanor", originally a '73 Ford Mustang and remake of a '67 Shelby GT 500. The tuned Shelby was one of the most famous movie cars of all time. Who's into 70's trash, should have seen the original.
