Le Mans (1971)

There are many racing movies, but none is as authentic as Steve McQueen's strip about the legendary 24-hour race. It was filmed in a real race in 1970, including the sudden rain. The story about the racer and Porsche driver Michael Delaney and his rivals in the Ferrari 512 S is only for guys with petrol in their blood, women play only secondary roles as weeping widows on the course. Unfortunately McQueen dies in his Porsche 917 K at the end of the film from a spectacular crash.
